Pirates Week

An annual event. There is always talk of this year's being the last one as some Islanders do not think that this is an appropriate image for the Islands. Street celebrations, family-friendly heritage days, a pirate invasion, fireworks and parties make the annual Pirates Week a fun time to be in George Town. The festival commemorates the days when the Cayman islands were the haunt of pirates and buccaneers. This year the event runs from 10th until the 21st.
