The Cayman Islands - Closer to Paradise

East End Beach East End Beach

You've probably thought of the Cayman Islands as a mysterious place for offshore banking, but there is much more to these islands than that. There are some of the best dive sites in the world, the famous Seven Mile Beach (which is only 5.5 miles long), and amazing fauna and flora.

This British Overseas Territory, consisting of three islands Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac, and Little Cayman, is to the south of Cuba and to the North West of Jamaica.

The Islands may be small, but there are over 150 restaurants with a heritage of rich culinary tradition, some of the finest wines lists in the world along with spectacular and beautiful settings.

If you've never tried snorkelling before then you're in for a treat. Along the safe shores of 7 Mile Beach fish are within a few feet in clear shallow water. This makes it ideal for children to get to experience fish watching.

The main Cayman Islands Resorts are along Seven Mile Beach, although if you are after a 100% beach fronted Caymans Island Resort, then the Reef Resort is further down the coast at East End.

Of course there are also a range of duty-free shops, based mainly in the capital George Town.
